DVG80 Directional Control Valve: Max Flow 120GPM

DVG80 Directional Control Valve

A DVG80 is a sectional type directional control valve that is rated for operating pressure up to 3500 PSI (250 bar) with the flow of up to 120 gallons per minute (450 liters per minute). This model valve has proven itself over the years to offer excellent performance and reliable service.

The combination inlet/outlet casting has a high and low-pressure port on both the top and side faces. The system relief valve is pilot operated and is screw adjustable. Mid-section inlets are offered as a split flow or combined flow types, which splits or combines the flow of one or more pumps to downstream work sections, and a two-position selector type mid inlet, which can be shifted to provide split flows in one position and a combined flow in the other. In the combined flow mode, flow from the second pump is directed to all downstream working sections to give 2-speed operation.

Outlet covers can have high and low-pressure ports on both the top and side. Internal coring allows a standard low-pressure outlet to be easily converted to pressure beyond type. Outlet covers can also contain a relief valve.

All working sections are 3 inches (75 mm) wide allowing them to be ported up to 1ΒΌ inch (32 mm) split flange or SAE 24. Relief valves with anti-cavitation checks are available for work sections. All work sections have parallel circuitry except for the fourth position float with tandem circuitry.

Specifications

The DVG80 can handle a flow of up to 120 gallons per minute. The maximum operating pressure for the DVG80 is 3500 PSI.

Inlet Section

The Inlet section has three choices. These choices are port size, type of ports, and finally an inlet relief valve or an inlet plug(no relief). The type of ports is either pipe thread, O-ring boss straight thread, or 4 bolt flange. Once chosen all the sections will have the same port type.

Work Section

There are three choices for the work sections spool applications. First of all, is the cylinder type spool application (A and B work ports are blocked in the neutral position). Next is the motor type spool application (A and B work ports are open to the tank in neutral position). Finally is the single-acting cylinder type spool application (The A work port is blocked in neutral and has no B work port).

Spool Position Control

There are three spool position control choices. First of all, is the 3 position spring return to neutral. Also available is the detent in 3 positions. Finally, there is the rotary friction detent variable from A position through B position.

Spool Actuators

There are four choices for the spool actuators. First is the manual lever metering. Next is the rotary lever metering option. Another of the choices is the hydraulic pressure actuating option(on or off, proportional pressure metering, or solenoid controlled/pressure actuated). Finally is the air pressure actuating option(on or off, proportional pressure metering, or solenoid controlled/pressure actuated).

Outlet Section

There are two choices for the outlet section. First is the standard choice(oil flow is directed to the tank when spools are in neutral and the A or B position). Finally is the power beyond choice(oil flow is directed to the power beyond port when spools are in the neutral position and back to the tank when spools are in the A or B position).
